The University of Virginia Advanced Research Computing Services (ARCS) group provides computing expertise and service to UVA researchers from across disciplines. ARCS staff offer comprehensive training for users of Rivanna, the University’s powerful high-performance computing system, as well as consulting services to those who need help solving optimization, parallelization, workflow, and data analytics issues. ARCS also manages the UVA “Viz Lab,” a state-of-the-art data visualization facility featuring multiple ultra high-definition touch tables, high-end graphics GPU workstations, and an HTC Vive virtual reality system.
