Each August, our office holds a two-day orientation event for faculty and is open to faculty who are new to UVA since September 2023. This two-day in-person new faculty orientation is designed to welcome new faculty to UVA, build community, connect new faculty to useful resources, provide practical, concrete information, and encourage a healthy work-life balance. In addition to meeting other new faculty, this is a good opportunity to meet current faculty, staff and to find out about important resources and start building your network at UVA.
