Testimonials

In 2022-2023, UVA Acts reached an audience of 791 participants through 13 micro-workshops (“appetizers” or “teasers”) and 31 full-length workshops, using both in-person and virtual modalities (Spring 2023 saw a major shift to almost all in-person bookings). Instructions for FY 2024 Hiring Plan Submissions

The hiring plan process asks each school to forecast their hiring needs for the upcoming faculty recruitment cycle. Faculty hiring plans will be reviewed and approved by the provost’s office on a rolling basis. All hiring plans should be submitted by October 31, 2023. While we anticipate the majority of salaried faculty positions will be included in the hiring plan, we recognize the need for an off-cycle hire may arise.

UVA Acts - Opportunities

There are many ways to get involved with UVA Acts. You can audition to be in an ensemble, attend a public performance, or book a performance for your colleagues.

You can also sign up for our newsletter to be kept up-to-date on our latest projects and opportunities to be a part of the development process. We pilot all of our programs with small audiences before they launch, and we'd love for you to be a part of giving us feedback. Signing up for the newsletter will guarantee that you'll hear about opportunities like pilot performances and open rehearsals in the future.
