Full Bio

Reporting to the Chief of Staff Ken Kipps, Carolina manages the briefing materials for the Provost and provides administrative support for the Chief of Staff. Carolina was born and raised in Honduras, where she received a BA in Interior Architecture. Before relocating to Virginia, she lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked as a legal assistant at Edward M. Bernstein & Associates and then the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. In 2023 she received a Combined Certificate in Interpretation and Translation from Hunter College, and since moving to Charlottesville, she has volunteered as a Spanish Interpreter with the UVA Latino Health Initiative. Carolina speaks Chinese and enjoys visiting museums and art exhibitions.
