Committee on Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning
Committee Reporting Relationship
The Committee reports to the Executive Vice President and Provost.
Charge
The Standing Committee on Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning will advise the Executive Vice President and Provost on policy, pedagogy, the future of work, and the responsible and ethical use of AI. The committee will help us to think about what meaningful learning, teaching, and academic integrity look like at a time when AI is altering how we work and create, and possibly even how we think. The committee will approach the increasing pervasiveness of AI not as a technical problem to be managed but as a phenomenon that requires the University to think about its educational goals and methods. Each sub-committee will have a range of subject matter experts among faculty, staff, administrators, and students.
