Delores is the Executive Assistant to the Vice Provost for Academic Outreach and Faculty Development Coordinator. In this role, she provides high-level administrative support to senior staff across the Provost’s Office. Acting as a project manager, she coordinates and conducts large-scale events. One of her primary projects involves the planning and execution of the yearly New Faculty Orientation event schedule, a multiday series of sessions featuring University leaders designed to welcome new faculty members to Grounds and ease their transition into faculty life at UVA. Among her many other administrative responsibilities, Delores regularly prepares surveys and presentations, handles information requests, and applies her event planning skills in various settings. Away from Grounds, she is a member of the Board of Directors of Charlottesville’s Community Investment Collaborative and is a graduate of the Elizabeth Brant School of Business. Delores is also a small business owner who loves decorating for weddings as part of her work as a professional event planner and designer.
