Guinn provides administrative support to the Vice Provost for the Arts Jody Kielbasa and the Vice Provost for Academic Outreach Louis Nelson. She manages both vice provosts’ scheduling and assists with specific events and initiatives for their offices.  Guinn received her B.A. in Drama from the University of Washington and has worked as a professional stage manager in Washington, DC, as an elementary classroom teacher, and as an administrator in UVA's Department of English and Creative Writing Program. Prior to joining the Provost's Office in 2018 she was the Education and Outreach Coordinator with Richmond Ballet. Most recently, she was the administrative generalist to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. Guinn feels like she has come home in her current role which aligns well with her professional background and personal focus. Guinn grew up in a foreign service family and looks forward to traveling again now that her two grown kids are on adventures of their own and pursuing their artistic dreams.
