Sherri P. Barker

Sherri provides executive and administrative support to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs Maïté Brandt-Pearce. As a member of the Faculty Affairs team, she oversees and administers the Office of the Provost’s Promotion and Tenure process alongside the vice provost. This work includes managing and tracking tenure approvals for out-of-cycle hires, out-of-cycle promotions, tenure clock stoppages, emeritus elections, and endowed chair requests.

Sherri provides executive and administrative support to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs Maïté Brandt-Pearce. As a member of the Faculty Affairs team, she oversees and administers the Office of the Provost’s Promotion and Tenure process alongside the vice provost. This work includes managing and tracking tenure approvals for out-of-cycle hires, out-of-cycle promotions, tenure clock stoppages, emeritus elections, and endowed chair requests. In addition, she administers the nomination process for the University Teaching Awards, which recognize faculty members who significantly and meaningfully contribute to the University’s teaching mission. She has been in the Provost’s Office for over 20 years serving in various administrative roles and in Faculty Affairs for the last 15 years, providing support across a broad array of initiatives and activities. Sherri enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
