We are delighted to announce the launch of Teaching in a World with Generative AI, an online course for UVA instructors to learn about this technology and its pedagogical implications. This course features voices from across Grounds as well as external resources, and is designed to help you make informed decisions about whether to incorporate this technology into your classes. Students share what they would like to hear from their instructors about this technology; faculty experts share their thoughts about what this technology means for the workplace and society; and instructors from a wide range of specialties provide concrete guidance about using generative AI to enhance teaching, incorporating it into assignments or activities, and talking with students about their use of it. A warm thanks to the numerous faculty, students, and staff members who contributed to this project.

A new program called the Faculty AI Guides, sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Center for Teaching Excellence. Approximately 50 faculty from across Grounds will learn about AI in teaching and will share what they learn with colleagues during the academic year.
