Faculty Emeriti Reports
The honorary rank of professor emeritus or associate professor emeritus may be conferred upon senior academic faculty at the time of their retirement from the University to honor extraordinary contributions over the course of their careers.
These faculty are former associate or full professors with at least ten years of service who have been nominated by their department chair and dean, and approved by the provost, president, and the Board of Visitors.
In the Spring of 2018, the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost began compiling biographies of faculty conferred emeritus rank in the previous year.
To find an individual, you can check this alphabetical index (.xls) to see which booklet features them.
