Vice Provost for Administration
As vice provost for administration, Anda L. Webb is the chief administrative officer for the executive vice president and provost. She focuses on academic administration in the areas of human resources and budget/finance, and she serves as a strategic advisor/counselor to the provost on a variety of matters. Ms. Webb oversees employment policies and personnel matters for the provost's areas and supervises the development and revision of academic policies. She provides financial and budgetary oversight of the academically related centers and units which report through the Provost's organization, and she also oversees the day-to-day functions of the Provost's Office. In addition, she has oversight of the Office of Virginia Status, and the Air Force, Army, and Naval ROTC units.

Claire facilitates a variety of Faculty Affairs processes and initiatives in the Provost’s Office. Her work has a focus on process improvement and implementation of systems that promote increased clarity and transparency in Faculty Affairs activities. As a part of this work, Claire shares responsibility for the preparation of personnel actions for Board of Visitors approval.

Procedure for Reviewing Administrative or Professional General Faculty for the Expectation of Continued Employment (ECE)

The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost accepts nomination packets and recommendations regarding ECE twice each year: February 1st and October 1st.

Schools/units should notify eligible A/P general faculty of the ECE review process and these guidelines at least three months in advance of the submission date to the Provost’s Office.

Administration

The Provost’s Office Administrative Team manages...
the day-to-day functions of the Provost’s office, including finance/budget, facilities, classroom management, human resources, and communications. We provide guidance to the Provost, her leadership team, and others on academic budgets, policy, planning, and governance. The Vice Provost for Administration oversees the academic policy process and supports the Academic & Student Life Committee of the Board of Visitors.
